🌱 PHILOSOPHY
Education Inspired by Curiosity and Discovery
At Britannica Bilingual Primary School in Kraków, we believe children learn best when they are curious, engaged, and confident.
Guided by the legacy of Maria Skłodowska-Curie, we foster independent thinking, exploration, and inquiry.
Our British–Polish bilingual programme combines strong academic foundations with a hands-on STEAM approach, connecting learning to the real world.
We develop confident, capable learners prepared to thrive in an international environment.

How Children Learn at Britannica
A practical, engaging approach combining bilingual education, STEAM, and individual support

True Bilingual Education
English and Polish are used naturally throughout the school day, not only during lessons. This immersive environment helps children build fluency, confidence, and the ability to think and communicate effectively in both languages.
“The limits of my language mean the limits of my world.”
— Ludwig Wittgenstein

🔬 Hands-On STEAM Learning
Children take part in regular STEAM projects through hands-on inquiry and project-based learning, exploring scientific concepts through experiments, building solutions through simple engineering tasks, and applying mathematics in real-world situations. Creativity and design are integrated throughout, with children drawing on visual arts, storytelling, poetry and creative expression to generate ideas, solve problems and communicate their learning. Learning is active, engaging and designed to develop problem-solving skills, confidence and independent thinking.
“I never teach my pupils; I only attempt to provide the conditions in which they can learn.”— Albert Einstein

👤 Individual Attention

With smaller class sizes, teachers are able to adapt learning to each child’s pace, strengths, and needs. This personalised approach ensures that every child remains engaged, supported, and able to reach their full potential.
“A hundred children, a hundred individuals.”
— Janusz Korczak
🎨 Creativity & Expression

Creative thinking is integrated into everyday learning through art, design, and project work. Children are encouraged to express ideas, explore different solutions, and build confidence in their own abilities.
“Dare to dream… something will always come of it.”— Janusz Korczak

🧩 Specialist Support & Wellbeing

We provide access to dedicated specialist support, including speech therapy, psychological guidance, and physiotherapy. This ensures that each child’s individual needs are supported, promoting both mental and physical wellbeing, and helping them develop with confidence academically, socially, and personally.
“Free the child’s potential, and you will transform him into the world.”— Maria Montessori

TRUST
Built on Experience
Britannica Primary School is a natural continuation of our established Early Years campuses, trusted by families in Kraków for many years:
Big Ben British–Polish Bilingual Preschool, ul. Puszkarska 7i and ul. Kuklińskiego 7.
Our approach ensures a smooth and confident transition from preschool to primary education, maintaining consistency in teaching, environment, and care.
Children often remain with the same classmates from as young as three years old, allowing us to build a strong and supportive community. These established relationships help children feel secure, thrive academically and socially, and make the transition into primary school as seamless and positive as possible.
